Can Silviniaco Conti win the Cheltenham Gold Cup and does Willie Mullins have just a little too much "Irish Luck"?

Can Silviniaco Conti win the Cheltenham Gold Cup and does Willie Mullins have just a little too much "Irish Luck"?

By The UK Horse Racing Tipster

Then I saw Don Poli run a beautiful race in the RSA Chase before watching Vautour yesterday smash in every barn door by thrashing the field in his JLT Novices chase by winning with a huge 15 length margin.
Not only did he jump with perfect scope, landing far away from each pursuer with every fence he moved over, but his sprint up the Cheltenham hill left everyone amazed at the way he effortlessly raced.
Personally I just cannot believe the "luck of the Irish" when it comes to Willie Mullins and his stable of stars.
His stable is deep in strength like a Premiership football team full of stars waiting on the bench to come on.
Here are just some of his horses from the current Cheltenham festival and their races and finish position
Vautour - JLT Novices' Chase (finished 1st)
Valseur Lido - JLT Novices' Chase (finished 3rd)
Uncle Junior - Glenfarclas Handicap Chase (finished 3rd)
Don Poli - RSA Chase (finished 1st)
Nichols Canyon - Neptune Investment Management Novices' Hurdle (finished 3rd)
Glens Melody - OLBG Mares' Hurdle (finished 1st)
Arctic Fire - Stan James Champion Hurdle Challenge Trophy (finished 2nd)
Faugheen - Stan James Champion Hurdle Challenge Trophy (finished 1st)
Hurricane Fly - Stan James Champion Hurdle Challenge Trophy (finished 3rd)
Un De Sceaux - Racing Post Arkle Challenge Trophy Chase (finished 1st)
Douvan - Sky Bet Supreme Novices' Hurdle (finished 1st)
Shaneshill - Sky Bet Supreme Novices' Hurdle (finished 2nd)
Now that is some stable and I haven't even included any horses who fell like Annie Power or any who finished outside of the top 3.
Even Nicky Henderson and Paul Nicholls are secretly draw droppingly amazed and envious when they see the depth of talent Willie Mullins has in his yard.
I can understand why people would take their horses to be trained by him he is the star trainer from Ireland and managed 4 wins on day one of the festival with DouvanUn De SceauxFaugheen and Glens Melody not to mention managing to take up all the places inthe Champion Hurdle with Arctic Fire coming 2nd and Hurricane Fly the old super star coming 3rd.
He really is a lucky Irish trainer to have such a stable, and in my opinion I think he probably has just a little too much of the "luck of the Irish".
His star horses are all amazing to watch and will be watched in years to come with similar awe as the old stars from yesteryear likeSprinter Sacre and Sire De Grugy make way for the young pretenders.
